“When you know, you know.” This sentiment expressed by the groom and Southerland singer, Chris Rogers, was the theme of this special damarried his love of six years.
Katie and Chris tied the knot on May 29th, 2021, at the beautiful and quaint Front Porch Farms in Charlotte, Tennessee. The couple celebrated their nuptials with close friends, family, and many personalized touches that encapsulated their story; truly reminiscent of a love song. Chris and Katie’s wedding was featured in People Magazine.
Katie and Chris chose the venue for its intimate yet expansive beauty. The grounds boast 32 acres of rolling hills, lush greenery and rose bushes lining the manor house.
Katie chose a custom Dany Tabet gown that fit her beautifully! Aligning with tradition, she wore a small diamond cross from her mother, her sister’s veil, and held a bouquehint of blue. These thoughtful touches expressed her deep ties to her faith and her family.
Katie and Chris recited private vows at their first look. We adore these intimate moments!
The outdoor ceremony was filled with elegant decor, and we’re still swooning over the floral-adorned cross at the altar.
The ceremony was nothing short of heartfelt and all-encompassing of the couple’s love for one another. Family and friends shared tears, smiles, and cheer before heading to the cocktail hour by the pool.
Following cocktail hour, guests took their seats to watch Katie and Chris’ first dance, which was sung by Chris’ bandmate and Groomsman, Matt Chase.
The father/daughter dance was a HIT. Guests clapped and sang along to the choreographed routine, where the father of the bride included his own comical and unique twist.
The wedding cake was a stunning, gluten-free angel food cake made by Katie’s mother.
