Family Traditions: A Tennessee Summer Wedding // Leigh Ann + Rob – Columbia, TN

We still can’t believe the beautiful celebration of joy, commitment, and true love between Leigh Ann and Rob at their family’s historic home in Columbia, Tennessee. There were so many details that made this ceremony special: engraved perfume, I Do Shoes, monograms, in memory photos, thoughtful gifts, family heirlooms, puppy love and fun.

There is one detail you can never predict though — the weather. The day started off with clear skies. The Southern String Song Music trio were outside playing prelude music when 10 minutes before the ceremony, a heavy rain ensued. Guests were quickly moved inside, and we transitioned to Plan B. This is why you should always have a rain plan. Although plans changed, we could not have asked for a more understanding and excited bride.

The ceremony was touching and intimate. As guests gathered in closely, they shared their vows and prayed over their marriage. The reception was wild, a little muddy, and so much fun thanks to the Emerald Empire Band, Fuzzy Duck Alcohol, and delicious catering by a local family friend. Jordan Roepke did a fantastic job, as usual, in capturing so many shared special moments.

We loved the flawless collaboration between sophistication and fun that the bride valued, even down the the wedding invitations, guest book print, and drink coozies.

The cake was provided by Publix and decorated by the Social Bliss Team. Curated Events delivered tables, chairs, a stage, and dance floor that the family enjoyed for hours.

Leigh Ann and Rob chose to do a faux sparkler send off earlier in the night so more guests would be present. Right after the flames went out, the bride changed dresses, and everyone hopped back on the dance floor with light up glasses, crowns, and hair clips.

We are so grateful to witness the love of Leigh Ann and Rob. They are a couple that we know can handle any storm, as long as they are together. Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Sands!
