A Birmingham Wedding to Remember — Nicholas & Jennifer’s Fall-Inspired Celebration

The Social Bliss team packed up and headed south to Birmingham, Alabama to celebrate the love of Jennifer and Nicholas. You’ve heard the phrase, “Marry your best friend.” Well, these two were friends for a decade before exploring more, and we are so glad they did. The love between them was pure, easy, and obvious to everyone around them.

Bright and early on the wedding morning, the bridal party started hair and make up at the Valley Hotel with Beloved Beauty. The groomsmen were across town in The Avondale’s green room with lunch delivered by one of the famous Pihakis Restaurant Group‘s delicious restaurants. The food all weekend was exceptional due to the strong family and flavor ties!

Jennifer’s mother helped her into her gorgeous dress while Nicholas had help from the groomsmen. After everyone was dressed, they headed to the sweetest local community garden, Jones Valley Teaching Farm, which we turned into a deluxe venue!

The bride and groom were surrounded by their best friends from grade school, college and even family members. Everyone did a great job at staying on task and showing up on time which is vital to event success!

The bride and groom had their first look in the secret garden tunnel. We love when the first look happens where they will be married!

After a few more bride and groom portraits with Alyssa Rose Photography, it was time to get the show started!

The string musicians played fun songs like Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams and Chappel Roan’s Pink Pony Club while the wedding party entered. Then, Jennifer was escorted down the aisle by her mom to I’ll Fly Away. This hymn was a moment of honor to Jennifer’s father who is not longer with us.

Decor to Adore was the amazing rental vendor who provided the wedding essentials and gorgeous linens. We also worked with Prophouse on some fun details. Look at this stunning bar!

After the ceremony, enjoyed cocktail hour with charcuterie and passed apps before the grand entrance and dinner!

After the first dance, the incredible Emerald Empire Band got the party started. The saxophone player was incredible, and his rendition of Friends in Low Places was a crowd favorite.

Jennifer requested an espresso martini tower to kick off the dance floor. Alethea Cashia created a beautiful three-tiered cake with amazing abstract texture.

Guests danced the night away until the late night bites arrived from Joyland. It was a crowd pleaser right before the sparkler send off. Nicholas and Jennifer may have run through the sparklers three times before heading to the after party!

We are so honored to have planned this magical night. We wish Jennifer and Nicholas a lifetime of marital bliss.
