Libation Creation at Liquor Lab // Nashville

As you know, we plan weekend itineraries for groups visiting Nashville (and even sometimes locals)! We never recommend anything we haven’t tried. The team headed downtown to Liquor Lab Nashville to gather all of the details. This way, we can inform our clients on what to expect.

If you’re heading to Nashville, the legendary Broadway is on your to-do list. However, we recommend taking a detour to 2nd Avenue. You’ll learn how to make some of the drinks you already enjoy, or you might find a new favorite.

Liquor Lab has a variety of classes. Some of the options include: whiskey or tequila based concoctions, Cocktails + Comedy, or brunch cocktails. Classes are only $75, and you learn to make 3 speciality cocktails. Their studio is located downstairs so pay attention to the signs. Also, in the middle of summer, it’s a much needed air-conditioned break.

Upon arrival, you’re greeted by the Liquor Lab team. They show you the photo booth, and direct you to your seat where the drink stations are set up. As the knowledgeable + friendly bartender goes over instructions, you’re encouraged to grab charcuterie before the drink-shaking party begins.

We chose the Summer Margaritas, and we were not disappointed! We kicked off the class with a Watermelon Mint Margarita where we learned how to muddle. The pink, summer refresher was Sarah’s favorite, and the bartender recommended adding a splash of champagne when we make it at home. Liquor Lab sends you home with the recipes. How cool?

Next, we made a Pineapple Green Chili Margarita which was Tiffany, Meaghan, and Daisy’s favorite due to the perfectly matched sweet + spicy blend. Finally, we created a Coconut Lemongrass Margarita. It was Trey’s favorite because it had a smooth froth.

We had an amazing bartender whose upbeat personality and tidbits of history brought a lot to the experience. We highly recommend taking a class before going to dinner. It’s the prefect pre-game. We absolutely loved our class and can’t wait to try another cocktail class. Have you taken a class? Let us know your favorite!
