The Perfect Girls’ Weekend: 72 hours in Birmingham, AL

If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, don’t look too far. Birmingham, Alabama is a growing city, and it’s only a 3 drive from Nashville. With lots of adventures awaiting, here is Meaghan’s weekend recap for a fun roadtrip:

When taking a girls’ trip, it’s always fun to stay together in an Airbnb so you can cook together, hang out on the porch, and get ready like in the college days. However, you know we love hotels too so take a poll of your group and figure out what’s the best fit. Meaghan’s crew stayed in The Forrest Park area, and their AirBnb was walkable to multiple bars + restaurants. The girls kicked off the weekend with Slice Pizza + cocktails at the Airbnb once everyone arrived. Then, they ventured to Adios, a highly recommended cocktail bar + Neon Moon, a popular dive bar.

What’s better than Saturday brunch with the girls? If you want to have a low key morning, cook brunch at the house accompanied with espresso martinis + mimosas. Since it was a beautiful spring day in Birmingham, and the ladies headed over to Top Golf. After enjoying a few rounds of golf, drinks, and bites, they spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the sunshine on the patio.

For a delicious dinner, venture to the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook to dine at Habitat Feed & Social. The girls wanted a unique experience so they checked out the local speakeasy, Marble Ring. It was within walking distance to their airbnb, even better!

To end the weekend, the crew headed to The Essential for brunch before hitting the road. Birmingham is filled with good eats, quaint neighborhoods, and lots of things to do. The girls had a great experience and loved everything they ate + drank. Many parts of Birmingham are walkable, and it’s a great city to getaway if you don’t want to travel too far!
