It’s been three years since The Adairs said, “I Do”, and we’re finally showcasing their love story. Sarah and Trey had a secret wedding with 38 of their closest friends and family members. It was the perfect day, but let’s recap how it developed.

When you’ve planned events at every venue in Nashville, it’s hard for your wedding day to not feel like work. That’s why Sarah’s dream was always a destination, beach wedding. Bring on the sunshine + tan lines. However, the couple knew their grandparents would not be able to travel so they decided to host an intimate family wedding. If you know Sarah, she doesn’t really know how to do anything small so the immediate family wedding quickly grew into a 40 person celebration.
The original plan was to get married in Sarah’s hometown so she could stop at the nursing home and visit Grandma Gladys in her wedding dress. However, GG went to heaven in June, and Sarah moved the wedding back to Nashville.

Sarah knows venues like the back of her hand so she contacted a couple of her favorites. The classic black and white vision was designed + planned. However, one day, her business cohort met at the Founder’s carriage house. Sarah walked in and said, “Wow! This space is gorgeous. I can’t wait to host an event here.”

Sarah excitedly went home and told Trey about the venue. She showed him photos and videos, and he encouraged her to inquire about the rental price. The response was astounding. It was a generous, mind-blowing gift. The venue was theirs FOR FREE except for a nominal cleaning fee. For those who don’t know, venues in Nashville begin around $6,700.
What a blessing!
Sarah quickly restructured the black and white vision to a french blue and navy dream.

With the venue secured, everything was a-go, and in 54 days, Sarah planned the perfect day.
The bridesmaids utilized Azazie’s try at home dress option. Sarah selected the color, and they picked out the style and shape that flattered their body because everyone looks better when they feel comfortable in their dress!
It was time for Sarah to find her dress. She had a very clear vision with sleeves, but in the short amount of time, options were a bit limited. Sarah purchased a dress for $100 that she thought she would chop for a reception dress, but Elegant Alterations brought her vision to life. In a little over a week, Kathy cut the train, added sleeves, took the dress in, and who knows what else.
The expedited alterations were a legit miracle, but while dress shopping, a dear friend sent Sarah $1,000 to go towards her wedding dress.
Sarah contacted all of her favorite vendors to see if they were available on August 12, 2023. However, she did NOT tell them it was for her wedding until they were booked! All of the pieces came together perfectly. Every detail, each vendor, and it was evident that God was orchestrating it all.

The only hiccup was the pushback Char + Trey gave on Sarah’s seating chart. Trey took over and created the layout for an exceptional experience.
Wedding day was officially here, and the entire process had been completely seamless. The day was filled with so much love and their favorite people. Sarah did not want to wake up early on her wedding day so after getting their nails done, the girls headed over to her dear friend Kayla‘s house for hair and make up with Glam Nashville. Kayla curated a playlist, had the most delicious bites + sips, and created the perfect ambiance for the wedding morning. Daisy and Courtney even popped by to give hugs as well.
Becca Mitchell was onsite for getting ready photos + matching PJs, and Jordan Roepke captured videography. Then, it was time for Sarah to get in her dress. Sarah headed downstairs for a first look with her mom, dad, and future MIL who gave her a sweet family heirloom.
The girls headed to the venue while the guys completed finishing touches. Out of town guests stayed at a nearby hotel in Green Hills, and the couple coordinated rides for all of the attendees. Guests began to arrive as music was playing, and the ceremony was about to begin.

Fun fact: Sarah let every person who walked down the aisle, choose their own song! Talk about a fun playlist.

Trey’s one request (besides the seating chart) was to not see Sarah before the ceremony. They didn’t lock eyes until she walked down the aisle. Another God wink included the officiant, Sara. She’s one of Sarah’s dear friends, and she literally got ordained one month prior to the wedding completely unbeknownst to the couple. The ceremony was so sweet. Trey and Sarah shared communion, and then it was time to celebrate. The gorgeous florals were by Flourishing Flowers.

The couple took photos after the ceremony with family. Everyone enjoyed apps + sips from Simply Events while Sarah and Trey took a moment to sit upstairs and relish in the day. Daisy and Courtney joined them upstairs because the SBE Dream Team is family, too.

It was time for their grand announcement as Mr. & Mrs. Adair. They went straight into their first dance to Teddy Swims, “911” which was their first concert together. The mother son dance was super sweet and Rico and Sarah dance to brown eyed girl, but Sarah had a surprise for Rico and played “Stuntin like my Daddy” to get Rico up and grooving. Sarah was having so much fun she fell out of her shoes and quickly slid into her Bride house shoes for the rest of the evening.

Rico and Char were already up dancing thanks to DJ Xtra Credit before the food was served by and the jams were bumping. Guests we’re waving their napkins in the air. It was literally so much fun and the best day ever. Guests enjoyed their delicious dinner, and the dance floor was opened. Everyone had such a good time, and Trey even slipped and fell on the rug on the dance floor.

Everyone danced the night away! They even played a special song only for the people going to Mexico, but turns out jokes on them because they didn’t even have them Mexico wedding. HAHAHA The couple mailed out Christmas cards announcing they were married, and honestly the day was perfect. Had Sarah known this was her “only wedding” she would have been stressed, but because she kept saying, “I’ll go bigger at the February wedding” she was able to show up and be fully present! The Lord was so kind + gracious to trick Sarah into having a day filled with SO MUCH JOY that did not feel like work.

The Adairs ended the night with cake cutting, champagne, a private dance and a sparkler send off. The new Mr. & Mrs. were escorted to the after party their friends Robert + Chelsey so graciously hosted!

The most beautiful part of the story is that Trey and Sarah now share a wedding anniversary with The Jacobs. Sarah’s babysat their boys since the oldest was 6 months old. Lindsey + Ryan have been mentors, friends, and a true example of a couple whose relationship has withstood the test of time. We are so grateful for your family!
