Ultimate Girls’ Weekend //  72 hours in Birmingham, AL

Birmingham is a growing city, and it’s only a short 3 drive from Nashville. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway, don’t look too far. When taking a girls’ trip, it’s always fun to stay together in an Airbnb so you cook together, hang out on the porch, and get ready like in the college days. However, downtown hotels are always an option too. Here’s Meaghan’s weekend recap for the best girls’ roadtrip:

We stayed in Red Mountain Neighborhood, in the Forrest Park area, our AirBnb was walkable to multiple bars + restaurants. We started off the weekend by having Slice Pizza + cocktails at the Airbnb once everyone arrived. Then went to Adios, a highly recommended cocktail bar + Neon Moon, a popular dive bar.

Saturday, we cooked brunch at the house accompanied with espresso martinis + mimosas. We spent most of the afternoon at Top Golf. It was a beautiful spring day in Birmingham, so the weather was perfect to play! Our Airbnb had a lovely patio, so after enjoying a few games, drinks, and bites we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the sun on the patio. For dinner, we went to the Grand Bohemian Hotel in Mountain Brook to dine at Habitat Feed & Social. It was delicious! After dinner, we were wanting something calmer and decided to venture to a Speak Easy, Marble Ring, for a cocktail, which happened to be in walking distance from our Airbnb. Highly recommend for a unique experience!

To end the weekend before departing ways on Sunday, we went to The Essential for brunch. Birmingham is filled with good eats, quaint neighborhoods, and lots of things to do. Everywhere we went, we had a great experience and loved what we ate + drank. There are many parts of the town that are walkable and easy to access. It was a great city to spend a girl’s getaway when we didn’t want to travel too far!
