A Day of Hope and Healing // Nashville’s Center for Non-Profit Management

It was an absolute pleasure to gather with CNM! What a difference one year makes. We had the privilege of coordinating this event last year, and we loved seeing the growth. Friday’s room was filled with change makers and those looking to make a lasting impact on our community. With over 70 attendees, the crowd connected, brainstormed and engaged with one another.

We gathered in TIRRC’s venue which is both beautiful and inclusive.

The day-long event combined art and musical performances, panel discussions, and intimate breakout groups to facilitate reflective conversations.

Discussion topics included race, education, healthcare, housing, and workforce development.

This event reminded us that we as a community can create actionable approaches to lessen the divide across cultures and increase equitable access for every resident in Tennessee.

We kicked off the day with our keynote speaker, Kitcki A. Carroll from The United South and Eastern Tribes, Inc. This was a timely presentation as November is the National Native American Heritage Month.

In addition to guest speakers, this event was about creating action. The attendees broke into groups to discuss what steps need to be taken in order to evoke change.

We loved watching Dawn Stone invoke action > words to the participants!

A day of hope and healing was so impactful, and we cannot wait to be involved next year, too!
