We love planning each and every event, but this surprise proposal was extra fun as the client is Sarah’s best friend. When the timing was perfect, Brian and Sarah plotted the long-awaited surprise.
Brian and Dee were scheduled to take a ski trip to Big Sky, Montana, and Brian thought it was the perfect time to pop the question. Look at that backdrop!
Before the proposal, Dee had asked Sarah to make sure that there was a photographer present to capture the moment, so before the big day, she got to work.
Brian found the best photographer and Sarah orchestrated the proposal spot and extra details – champagne and the flower petal heart. The details are the most important part! Sarah met Brian at the jeweler to select the perfect ring for her bestie. Knowing Dee would have no clue about the proposal, she (and Erica, Dee’s other BFF) FaceTimed Brian and selected an extra set of clothes for Dee to change into for photos. We knew her ski attire wouldn’t be appropriate for photos. 😉 Social Bliss is always three steps ahead!
On the big day, Brian and Dee were driving to their condo. Brian drove past the condo, towards the proposal spot. Dee asked, “Where are you going? You passed the condo.” Brian had to basically drag Dee out of the car, but she finally saw the heart-shaped rose petals in the snow, and realized what was about to happen!
Brian knelt in the snow and asked the love of his life to marry him.
As a planner, this was truly a special moment to have created and witnessed. But as a friend, it meant more to be able to share this event that had been a long time coming.
The happy couple was able to relish the moment and enjoy their engagement with champagne and stunning photos.
Social Bliss Events was honored to plan and be a part of this unique and special day. We believe that everyone deserves a proposal suited to them, and we would be honored to plan yours.
