Nashville Women’s Leadership Summit: Play Like A Girl

In just 36 days, we planned Play Like A Girl’s summit. We hit the ground running contracting vendors, scheduling site visits, drawing layouts, and organizing the day long event. We might be partial, but our team is top notch.

The summit took place on International Women’s Day, and as a woman-owned business, it was an honor to plan this empowerment day. A women’s summit by day and a networking happy hour by night.

The stage was set from 1-5pm as keynote speakers graced the stage by sharing their stories.

“Celebrate International Women’s Day with inspiring women who have been where you are. They’ve broken through the glass ceiling to successful lives and careers. Now, they’re here to show you exactly how to get there too.”
– Play Like A Girl

With inclusivity in mind, this event was made accessible in-person and on Zoom. Over 60 virtual attendees joined throughout the afternoon.

‘Hack with Hadley’ was a hands-on science and engineering demonstration that engaged the audience.

A portion of event proceeds benefitted the Play Like a Girl Scholarship Fund, making this year’s celebration of International Women’s Day a worthy cause.

Keynote speaker, Emily Pilliton-Lam, hosted a book signing and attendees were gifted a copy of Emily’s book.

We bring our clients’ vision to life, and that includes making the stage backdrop. We handcrafted arches and customized by adding their logo.

They’re also now available for rent.

When the candles were lit, the mood was set. Guests let down their hair for cocktail hour, and it was 5 o’clock in Nashville. Happy hour included a gorgeous grazing table and beautiful bar.

Casual mentoring opportunities with summit speakers occurred throughout the day and into the night.

Grazing tables are both filling and fun, allowing guests to be social while nibbling. We’re still in awe of this spectacular grazing table. What a statement!

The summit would not have been complete without professional head shots for each guest. The ladies left inspired by the speakers and empowered with an updated photo.

In addition, there were makeup artists to help make you look and feel fierce.

The 360 photo booth was just as entertaining as it was fun for participants and bystanders alike.

DJ Alanna Royale was as big a hit as the songs she played. She kept the energy high with today’s latest tunes and throwbacks as well.

A truly beautiful night was enhanced with precious pink, feminine, florals.

From daytime learning to evening networking, each woman walked away inspired from being surrounded by likeminded women. We can’t wait to host next year’s International Women’s Day event.
